I'm sure if you found some way to find larger RUBBER tires, and not plastic ones, the stock power would be plenty, no?

Good question, in my experience modding my son's you can't fit tires large enough to make a real difference in speed. I ended up bumping my son's to 18V and it makes a nice difference, may even try 24V one of these days.

I would think that the plastic wheels act like a "slipential"...saving the drive train....rubber would grab too good for the plastic drive train parts
