Howdy,

The HV Pro ESC has a circuit inside that protects the ESC from "Servo Voltage". This circuit needs to be turned on then off.

So when you turn on your RX battery pack/UBEC, the ESC will not run the motor, but the servos will work. At that point, turn the ESC on, then back off again. When you run the car, always have the ESC off.

Older HV ESC's do not have this protection, so this extra step of switch flipping is not needed.

The ESC will not work correctly if you remove the red wire from the input harness.
