Motor choice looks good. A longer can motor will produce more torque, and will also have the ability to handle more load, and ultimately can prouce more power (watts). A 60mm motor is not really necessary for the .5, unless you plan to run very heavy tires, or gear it to the moon.

As far as lipos go, erevonut has got it. Neuenergy lipos are generally the best priced of the enerland based packs and work well. A 5000 25c 3s lipo will easily handle your setup and provide plenty of punch andruntime. Maxamps are just overpriced for what you get, bottom line there. Also, the PolyRC packs are well-priced enerland cells. Neu packs are on sale at the moment. Check them out.
