I have the slipperential in a RC8T. I havent tried setting it up with mechanical brakes though. How would putting the disks on the outdrives effect where the slipperential contacts the top plate. if you go to the the first post in the "where does it work" thread you can see it installed in my RC8T. I did note that I had to take a small amount of material off of the top plate , but it was a very small amount. I didt even need the dremel, just used a hobby knife.

Yes, pictures would help. I read your post 5 times tryuing to figure out what you mean and I cant understand how the mechanical brakes would make a difference yet.
