The Rustler is a bit shorter, but regardless, bring a VXL Slash and a VXL Rustler and we'll see who wins. And if you did those upgrades to a Rustler (new tires) and lowered it, then the Slash wouldn't have a chance. The higher CG of it just does not allow it to keep up with the Rustler. And running without the body is only asking for messed up ESC or body posts, or whatever else gets in the way. In all fairness, when Traxxas built the Slash they were going for scale, not performance.
