i just got my 6s 4000mah 20c flightmax and i can't seem to fully charge it with my turnigy accucel 6 when i plugged it each sel was around 3.8 3.9 v when i stopped it i had 1 at 4.2 and the others were at 4.16 my set up on my charger was lipo balance 4a 22.2v it charged for 110 min. and it showed 25.02v and the charger wouldn't stop on it's own but it wouldn't go any higher

It is still balancing the packs... The charge rate is most likely very low to allow the balancer to blled off the high voltage cells.

Just give it some time... If the pack is out of balance charging takes longer.

i have tryed to restart it a coupleof times but the charger stays betwen 0.0 and 0.3 or 0.5 i have left it running for 15 min.eachtime but the sels stayed at 4.16 except for the one at 4.2

i will give it another try tomorow and let it run for another hour or so and see if it goes up

4.15V or 4.20V don't make too much difference in capacity. actually there's a safety margin preventing overcharge, which is good to your batteries' cycle life. IMO you can just run as it is and have fun.

On my charger I have a 95% charging option and I leave it at that. The last few mV adds little capacity, but gets to be a pain to balance w/ cheaper packs like zippies and such that don't have matched cells.

i think i may have found the solution with the help of my local hobbyshop i have put it in the lipo charge mode instead and plugged the palance plug in a blinky balancer instead of the balance plug of my chargerand it went up to 25.2 and when i checked the sels in my chagerafter that i had one at 4.2 and 5 at 4.18 and 4.19

Blinky's are great balancers. Simple, but can be used with everything.

That's one of the reasons why I never cared for balance chargers and prefer an external balancer of my choice. Maybe less convenient, but more versatile IMO. And yeah, you don't get the cell reading right on the charger's LCD screen, but a multimeter is more accurate and consistent anyway.

just curious, what are you using as the powersource for the charger? I haven't had any problems like you have mentioned with stopping mid charge with my accucel 6.

WE may be talking about accucels, but IMO Hyperions are still top of the line, the 610I Duo that I use gets 2 of my zippys at 4.2 per cell for all 3 cells on all 4 packs takes it 90min's with a 90% charge parallel them to a stock revo and get 35min runtime b4 the LVC cutsd it off.

I have a Accucel-6 and a pr of 0610i chargers, can't compare a $170 charger to a $38 charger. Can't beat the Accucell for a pit bag charger and taking it with you though, its been amazing for a $38 charger.

The Accucel-6 is only a 50watt charger and thats some of what you're running into, so its just going to take a while to charge and balance. You need to factor that into resetting the safety timer.

Never had an issue with my 50watt BC6 and its built-in balancer, does all the cells to 4.19 or 4.2v everytime.

Your charger just has bad ju-ju...

Built-in balancer is a must IMO, for safety. Say a cell in a 6S pack gets weak, it could be charged over 4.9V while all other 5 cells are just 4.05V, total pack voltage is still within 25.2V limit. this is extremely dangerous.

With a charger having built-in balancer, it knows each cell's realtime voltage, and will slow down if any of the cells reaches 4.2V. With an external balancer, it has no way to chat with the charger and will leave the pack unprotected.
