If you were going to put the motor in a hyper, i would say go for the CC 2650 motor. It is the one made for a buggy on 4s. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like the perfect setup. 4s, MMM V3 esc, on a neu motor. The kv is only 100 higher then the CC motor. You are also running a smaller motor then the CC one that is included with your esc. Not knowing you, or your driving abilities: maybe you need some more time getting used to the power? Do not take offense to this, I am sure i would do horrible if i ever did enter a race. But as far as the setup goes, it all seems good. At least IMO.

edit: for a neu, that seems a bit high (temps wise). esc also. For now, i would blame that 6000 mah battery. That's quite a bit of playing time.
