I tried a couple speeds runs with my CRT truggy yesterday. 6s 2200 geared 25/48 with buggy ratio diffs, taped holeshots tires. The best I got was 59.6mph without the front in flying high. Its hard to keep those front wheels down.

Good luck man! Make sure you get some video!

Going fast is fun. Us bashers need challenges, cause we do not have that "better driver" to beat on the track. I personally think a MM/2200 combo has enough ass to do 80, but maybe only a pass or 2 before the current draw will start causing problems. A 1527 will be the best bet, on 10-12s. That will stay cool, but you will need some good lipos to get the job done. Battery weight will be an issue, maybe something like the new thunderpower 40c packs, they are lower mah, but can handle high current demands.

I plan to do a stupid powerful 2 speed on road car myself. 1521 1y on 6s , geared to the moon, with 9000 30c worth of lipo. I have a feeling the fan on the MMM will stay on for a while...!!!
