Mmm lost power but dont know why - 07.17.2009, 11:10 PM

last night at racing i came off a large jump and truck shut off, it had no power at all,no steering etc..i thought it thermaled because when the marshal put it down it powered back up .

couple of laps go by and on the same jump truck looses power again. this time it doesn't come back on. i go tothe pits un plug every thing and plug it back in (no on/off switch) and it works. i then wiggle all the wires and i get it to turn off and on once but can not get it to do it any more.

the plugs look and feel like they are tight, the batterys work fine (tried in another truck) im gonna change the connectors just in case on the esc and those two packs.

anyone hear of any problems with the esc that sounds like this ?

its in a e revo running a 2200 4s 40c 5000 packs. no error lights. just lost power. i know it sounds liek a loose connection but i can not get it to do it again.

thanks.

Are you sure it's losing power and not signal from rx? If your radio has weak batteries and loses signal that would do it, then when you get close enough for signal it re connects and works

check for bad/broken or cold solder joiints in the power connectors. gotta be the battery connectors or the MMM. Then see if there are any you can see on or feel on the MMM itself

+1 for a bad connection or joint somewhere, though it may indeed be inside the esc- process of elimination.
