Hell even a new drivetrain you can get for less than the cost of a decent used car. Luckily my Taurus was one of the most widely produced cars in the US so I have quite a while before I need to trade up. The Nissian is more expensive to fix (don't know why I let the Wife talk me into buying it, Have to use premimum, or it sounds like someone has a cofee can full of pennies under the hood). But I have fixed all the problems except the MAF because I have to take it to the dealership in order to have the ECU reflashed for the new MAF, a waste of $100.
