Welcome to the forums. The 9920 & 9918 are the same controller . The only difference is BK did ttesing and foud the 9918 can acctually handle 20 cells. Thats the reason they changed the name to 9920. I also have a BL MBX 4 buggy. THE motor and controller choice's you made are good choice's. My buggy uses a 7XL with 9918 & 14 cells.

I have a Hyper 7 RTR that I converted not to long ago. The hardest thing I had do deal with is that I wanted to use a Ofna plastic 52t spur gear. RC-Monster (Mike) made an adapter to fit the plastic spur on to the diff for me. It works very well. I don't know what you have planned, but you might want to consider something like that too. Otherwise the the metal spur will eat up your pinions.
