Between those two choices, I also vote speed3. I had the same car as you but traded it for a 09 Mazda6 for the wife and my car is 05 Mazda 3i. If you're only running for 75k miles then I don't think the reliability issues you mentioned should be a problem. One thing though, the Mazdaspeed 3 is said to have some pretty bad torque steer. Not sure if that's improved in the new models.

i hate both.. but if i had to vote it would b the camry.. i actually like the way they look.. i'm kinda old school myself.. i wont drive a car that has a brain.. anything pre 1990 FTW!!.. carburated motors FTW.. i drive a 1986 Dodge RamCharger (the SUV not the truck) talk about driving a safe vehicle? haha let someone driving a new car pull out in front me of my truck and see who drives away.. i'll have to clean the paint offa my chrome bumper and i'll be off!!.. ok nuff rambling Camry FTW!

IMO, I would get a Civic Si, 200hp, lighter weight and better mileage (i think?)... you can't beat Honda engine reliability. I have just turned over 320,000km (200k miles) in a '99 Civic EX sedan, and have had ZERO problems with it, they are just built well , plain and simple, being beat only by BMW as far reliability goes.
