stock e-revo upgrades needed for brushless power? - 02.23.2010, 09:44 PM

what do I need, getting an e-revo in a trade and have a mamba max pro already will a standard 540 size can work or go bigger, I have a neu 1515-1y but think it might be a bit much ' I have 3s 30c 5800mah batteries for it also, think I should get some 2s packs to go with it

the 1515 1y is not too much motor for the truck, but it is too much for the mmpro. Go with a MonsterMambaMax. I mean, it'll work, but you risk blowing it. You are way better off with an MMM in a monster truck (that's why brushless revos come with them)

It's absolutely worth reading it all if you want to learn about your truck.
