RC8 buggys use truggy ratios IIRC.

10/43 = 4.3

Really - that would seem that I need to gear up to 18T but my friend is saying more like 12T!

I run 1700kv with 46/17T on 4s in my RC8T so judge accordingly...

Right, but you could plug my settings into the calc and slowly transfer everything over.

Gotta use a little imagination Arct1k

I run 50/16 or 50/15 in my Rc8T with the cc/Neu 2200kv. Great bottom end as well top and my fan never even kicks on the esc.

As I understand, the RC8 uses truggy diffs to allow for a larger pinion and therefore better gearing options/resolution.

Pinion Speed
10T 26.54 mph
11T 29.20 mph
12T 31.85 mph
13T 34.51 mph
14T 37.16 mph
15T 39.82 mph
16T 42.47 mph
17T 45.13 mph
18T 47.78 mph
19T 50.44 mph
20T 53.09 mph

thats the graph you want for the rc8 with your motor/battery combo

id suggest a 14 or a 13 for a smaller track, for bashing a 17 or 18 sounds good
