All the ball ends you assemble yourself will have some slop. If you struggle to get them together, the slop will be worse. If you can pop them in real quick, it will minimize the slop, but slop will increase with wear over time. One thing I have done for rigs requiring more precision, is use Dubro ends that are already assembled as they have much less slop.

As far as the driveshaft goes, get in touch with AE, they should take care of you.
