Yes it would, be eaisly upgraded. . I have seen a video of a local guy running his on 6s with a neu 1520 i belive. I will find the video latter & post it for you. I changed the 4mm flex cable & stuffing tube. To more standerd .150 flex with 3/16 prop shaft. Now i have no problem finding the right prop. I changed the stock esc to a Turnigy 180 marine esc. I also run mine on 4s not 3s. The motor gets a little warm. So i think i will be changing to a castle/neu 1515-1y at some point. I have only ran it a couple times. So i still have adjustments to make . But overall im happy with it.
