Man, after all that you're going to end up with a DB17. :( I love how big it is right now.

At least it'll be a DB17 of my own design ?

It'll be a "CB17"

What in the hell is a keychain cam?? I must have one!

Oh.. sorry to seem so insensitive to Brother BRO... but we've talked. And talked... and talked. He knows where I stand.. and I stand behind whatever he decides.

Hope the new config is more to your liking Jeff, but maybe a break is in order. I know how these projects can take over your time more than they should sometimes...

No doubt, but I am not a 'bay-er and I'd rather spend a few extra bucks and know I'll get the 808 version. Just my preference. But there's other options jpop, the Turnigy cam thread with lots of info about the kc as well-

At least you had a go and you did produce something quite unique looking. I did originally think the length of the chassis would take any agility away from the savage. Thats why i feel the DB-17 is just about as long as you should go. keep us posted and dont give up on the savage just yet! you have spent a lot of money on the bulks and towers etc.. .so give it one more go with the chassis and use the lipo boxes to find a nice balance!

I guess after seeing that list of cars on your signature I'm not surprised you don't like the handling. I also had a baja but sold it cause it was big, heavy and just not zippy (not to mention noisy, but that was part of it). I agree that if you ran higher voltage you might reconsider but then I reckon maintenance will be more of an issue so might as well do a baja conversion (just thinking of that resent vid). I still don't want to own a savage but this build and Finsters 1/6 had certainly peaked my interest in them.

I can't believe a company can produce and ship those cams for less than $10. May not be the original manufacturer but omg they're still making profit

Sheared the rear CVD today within the first few minutes, replaced it with another LST2 (they are the perfect lenth)
Went back out and ran 1 minute and broke the trans, even with a properly set slipper ?

Too Heavy !
I'm def chopping 5" off when I feel motivated, Gonna take a break from RC for a week.
I need to do some fishing, haven't ben out on the boat in months. No wonder I'm stressed ?

Wow, that thing is tearing itself up fast. My DB17 weighs 13.5 pounds RTR with no body.
