The Aluminum Purple capped HotBodies shocks are of excellent qaulity and are definitely worth the small expense and time rebuilding IMO.
Rebuild kits for these shocks can be found despite being discontinued.
Go to Hotbodies site and get the part number for your application and do a search on Ebay and google. I'll bet you can rebuild all 4 shocks like new parts and S&H for under $20.00 easy.

If you have the shocks that are half plastic and half aluminum capped then replacement might be best. All you need is roughly the same over all lenth and look at Ofna, Losi, Associated etc for what you think is best for your budget and needs.
