Is that an Aston Martin body? Its looks like the new camaro... Looks Real nice though!

I almost bought some revo shocks to throw on the front of the car, then put the front shocks in the rear... But the same zip-ties have been holding up for 2 months now and they are only $.04

Honestly did not pay much attention to the body style when I got it. Had the same set up w/the zip ties...but stumbled across the Revo shocks on another forum for $ 15- shipped so I could not pass it up

Is that an Ofna GTP bumper on the MBX? Also those body mounts are very nice! they must help hold the body up great!

Mine seem kinda weak, but the car has cartwheeled and tumbled at high speed and its held up perfectly, especially for Maxx and stampede body posts. My dads GTP posts actually broke quite frequently. ( but he did hit a curb at 3/4 throttle and his car litteraly flew 10-12' up and a good 20' out before rolling like crazy! It was quite a site!) he needs to get another set...
Looking again, I really like that body and paint scheme you have! Cheers!

Thanks for the kind words. The body posts do hold up well. As far as the paint goes....it was done by a member here whom I will not name due to the fact of other multiple members having issues with him. In fairness, he did a great job on the body.

So I got a MonoBlock from UE. UPS Sucks now. Took a week in there hands. It did need a bit of Finessing with the dremel but nothing major...

Photobucket

Anyway, I thought the LST2 CVD would fit but as it turned out, it barely sat in the tranny side drive cup. So, no way I'd run it. I measured and came up with about 140mm or so and I just ordered the Savage XL Rear dogbone which was 142mm. Well I used the FLM cups for the tranny side and MGT Cups on my LST diffs. AND It fits PERFECT!

Photobucket

Fits Snug no play, couldnt be better. If you have an FLM 3905 chassis and Monoblock this is a great solution. $7.50 shipped on Ebay.

SO, Here is where the first run ended. I slid sideways on some very loose dirt. Slid into a small "ditch" made by some recent rain and it may have been a curb because it bent the Hell out of the FLM lower arm. I have RPM uppers and maybe this would be better with FLM uppers too. I have been using this combo now for about 10 months or so and I didnt think I was going too fast. Maybe its just one of those things.... Look at this carnage at least its only a $7.00 fix...

Yeah pretty tough. Good thing your shocks didn't bend. Did it bend your CVD?

I'm glad you found a dog bone that would work.

It may have bent the CVD, the wheel was wobbling pretty bad. But it could be the wheel, bearing, CVD or all of them . So maybe more than $7.00.

I didnt think it was that bad of a hit. But daaaamn.

Well The Cvd Was Ok, The other side was a bit bent though FLM Arm should be here tomorrow.

Got some "teaser" pics. Here is my Old "Mr. Crash style" 1/8 CD cup I had in the Tranny a while ago. Only lasted about 4 packs... Can you spot the problem???

Bottom Steel plug failed....

Solution:

Nova-RC Diff cup... Personally delivered by the owner... ( I actually met her at the Grocer)

This will not be going in the Transmission. I bought some 1/4" 6061-T6 to make a CDmOUNT I bought a new 8ight diff and will use all new parts... Except maybe the spur... I have a kyosho 44t spur and It fits like a glove on the Nova Cup. It didnt fit well on my 8ight buggy CD for some reason and leaked like Crazy...

Thanks! I am glad someone is enoying it!

Wont get the Aluminum till Wednesday for the motor mount side. But Today I did make the bottom mount for the whole CD assembly.

I cut up and old 8ight chassis (where the CD would mount) and shaved it square to mount snug between the chassis rails. Then I will bolt that whole thing down to the skid plate.

Here I just took a pic. So much easier to see then then imagine.

Some more Progress... 1/4" 6061-T6511. Geared 11/44. Should be about 52mph... Drilled and tapped the 1520 to 4mm screws.

I will add these braces. 1/4"x1/2"x2". They screw into the FLM Braces through the chassis. I still need to tap the end and screw the motor mount to the end. Then I will make an angled piece of 1/8" 7075 to finish it off and make it rock solid.

Here is what I got up to now (minus the 7075 angle and screw tapped in from the motor mount side)

Photobucket

About ~2mm off the motor fins to the chassis: Woot! Even if I regear to the 50t spur and I can lower the motor down again to keep the motor sitting nice and low...
