Are all the settings on the more powerful esc the same as on the smaller esc that does work okay? If the settings match and the larger esc still wont work properly ( assuming its calibrated to the radio correctly and no settings have been adjusted ), then I'd say the esc is either faulty or incompatible- try another motor or see if schulze will inspect the esc. Chances are they wont find an issue ( make sure the test it with a 4 pole motor too ) & will blame you / your batts/wiring/radio/gearing etc... like they always do.

I'd sell the shulze an pickup an MMM XL when they are released shortly.
