Yes, it is. With WAY more grip.

Honestly, the slash has enough trouble on a loose dirt surface due to the very little grip the tiny tires provide, I can't imagine how loose the whole truck would be in snow. I'd say Stampede 4x4 all the way, the only thing I see SC trucks useful for are for racing on groomed track surfaces. If you wanted to drop more money I'd say E-Maxx or E-Revo, or if you wanted to drop almost nothing just waterproof your Savage and have at it.
