I would seriously look at the Traxxas 4x4 Stampede. You can get a brand new one for under 400 bucks, add some hobby king lipos and a turnigy charger. I think you should be able to get all of that stuff (4x4 stampede, 2 lipos and a charger) for under 500 bucks.
