My new Haas CNC mill!

Very nice....Haas is great. I have several of them in our facility....never a problem. VF3, SL20's...etc. What software did you end up with??

Thanks for all the kind words guys, it's all hooked up to power now, just need to set up the rest of my shop and get the technician in here to do the initial set up/inspection and this thing will be running!

Still deciding on software, I run Solidworks for design but I'm looking at Onecnc, Gibbscam, and then Visualmill for Solidworks at the lower end of the spectrum. Probably going to go with Visualmill just for cost unless I can get a used seat of Onecnc.

Steel, aluminum, wood, plastic, concrete, etc???

Just curious!

It can mill mostly anything really, just limited by the spindle power and the rigidity of the machine. At 4400 lbs, this thing is a lightweight but should still be able to handle pretty much any steel with decent success. And I'm not sure why you need to machine concrete, but I'm sure it could do that just fine.
