Losi 8 mount and a 1717

Pretty sure the 1518, or any cc 15 series motor will fit just fine. I highly doubt that the 1717 will fit any of Mikes mounts, save for the old crt mount as it was quite tall to fit the ferris wheel sized spur gear. You can shim any of the mounts taller, of course. So any mount will fit any size motor, if you make stuff.

You may also want to look into your gearing options with the 1717 as the diameter of the motor will limit the size of pinions and spurs, as the motor will hit the center diff rear output if you try to use a smaller pinion. Just a thought as you will be running higher motor speeds with 6 and 8s lipo. And you plan to run on a track, so 70mph is not really good gearing!
