The jigs subtracts heat from the connectors you are welding (not the case of the deans) and this is a bad thing. Worst 20$ spent in rc equipment.

How can plastic draw heat from the connector? All I use it for is deans. It allows for a quick, clean joint with having to hold a hot wire with your fingers. If you feel it is useless I think you may be using it wrong.

Try to read what i've wrote into the (). You can use it to solder the deans, but if you use it to solder round connectors the jig works like a heat sink and this is a bad thing when you are welding. Deans are to small for my use so, for me, the jig is useless.
