I'm the same as you, much of my enjoyment in this hobby comes from building and wrenching on my vehicles. I really like the standard 3-diff buggy/truggy setup when it comes to that along with the plate chassis. I've never had a TVP truck like the Savage, but I sold my E-Revo for the same reason. It was an awesome vehicle but I hated working on it.

If it was me I'd keep the Mugen. It might not be quite as durable, but they are still very stout, and a few broken parts every now and then just gives you more reason to wrench on it!
