No idea if it will hold up, but that has to be the most "creative" use of a maxx wheel hub I have ever seen.

I would love to see some high qual pics of the spur gear mount and the rear axle...

Agreed, I think it has a good chance of holding up, but the motor mount could be a bit thin, and it is only secured by two screws I think. If I was you I'd make up a thicker mount. I'm sure a 1/10 scale system would be fine it it, but I'm not sure if it would hold up to anything too powerful.
