That's why I have an RC8T CD (54t spur) for my latest build with the 1717 if I need it - the diff itself is the same width as the Muggy/8ight diff, so it will fit in the Muggy mount.

I'm looking at using the 8ight-T 50t spur right now if I use smaller tires:

Your other option would be to run Muggy diff gears front and rear (45/11) which would also help your gear ratio - the problem is that those ring/pinion gears are getting harder to find.

Can you file down the fins on the motor to make it fit? That might be your easiest fix.
