Makes me wonder if the "wood trim" and all other accenting features in my dad's '09 Honda Accord is actually wood, or has some wood in it, at all.

Quite durable! It won't peel. I just tried to scratch a light pod with the tip of my pocket knife and it took major effort.

Maybe. It's a whole different animal though. I think those that can afford and appreciate custom painting will continue to seek it out. Some do vinyl wraps on custom/show cars, but the creme de la creme is still a custom paint job.

Oh, and Brian- this is exactly what traxxas' exo-carbon pieces are made with.
