I think ROAR will never allow the brushless technology to move forward. I don't know who are the people running ROAR, but it seems that they favor only a few and if someone comes out with a technology that is better, ROAR seems to have a problem so they change the rules. That's why F1 right now seems so freaking boring. Going from 1400HP+ turbo 4 cylinders to the V8s they have now seems like they went backwards. They should've implemented better safety rules for the drivers, pit crew and fans, but let the technology of making them go faster prosper. If that had actually been the case, I don't see why an F1 car should only do up to 220MPH (maybe less), they should be over 300MPH or more by now. If CPUs can evolve every 6 or so months, why can't other technology do the same? Well rules and regulations.

I couldn't agree more, Racing, no matter the scale, should be about progression, not equal racing. NASCAR, champ Car, indy car, or F-1 all just spec classes now, includes drag racing as well. I understand limits for sake of equality and standardization, but to limit performance of a particular setup, even if it fits the criteria of the rules, is blasphemous.

Back to the topic, I wish Castle would provide a few motors for those of us who like higher voltage and lower kv

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Sorry for the delay guys, the dead wheel bearing has kept me from doing any real testing. I didn't consider that the one good bearing wouldn't stay in the hub, which let's the CVD come out of the diff cup...

I've got a set of ceramic 15x10mm bearing coming this week so with luck I'll have data on sat/sun this weekend.

If I could only draw what I see in my head, then afford to build it, and finaly get to play with it...

A teaser

Neu 1409/2Y on 8S 1300mah with Phoenix Ice HV80

Far to potent for the track, but the 51.3 amp spike is well within what the batts can handle and isn't stressing the Ice at all. I'll get some good "on-track" data tomorrow at practice and I will see how it handles on 8S and 4S.

Hey

have you run the 1409 2Y on 4S yet ?
I'm thinking of getting a 1409 2Y or 1409 1.5Y for my RC8 Sc conversion on 4S
Currently i have a Tenshock X802 2400KV, but this is way too much for me
Like to have a 1000 W motor

kind regards

Mirko

Brushless motors have to be green ....
