I haven't had any issues with my LX1-e after lots of very hard running with mine, always on either a 1518 or 1520 (I had to at least try it!) on 5s. My 1st LX buggy (an old old blue chassis) conversion, did eventually chew both ring gears, but I never checked them until after the carnage either. I blame it on age and never being serviced or re-shimmed after 10 gallons of nitro and at least 2 dozen packs through it.
