Too me the MMax is as good as the MMpro power wise of the line. You can add caps too them and be a bit better off the line, but the MMonster will still be the best for dragracing regarding peak currents. You can take of the casing and heatsink of the MMonster and save weight that way. Add caps if needed. I had to add 3 caps on mine to make it more responsive at startup, in my 2s 5.5lbs speed runner.

I have seen that castle is advertising a new cap board of there own that looks good but at over $20 is a bit pricey especially when shipping from castle to Australia is a fortune.
I ran a 1.34@97mph on 3s at 1240 grams with the original MMax with an extra cap but I thought the old design might be holding it back compared to the new Pro with some extra caps. The monster is the king I guess but last time I removed the heatsink on one it smoked.
