MiRatlhed-

Post 54, the limiting straps. The truck looks like it is in full droop, yet the limiting straps aren't tight. Are they just for looks, or did you tighten the straps, or are the arms compressed a little? I'm so confused because these are works of art otherwise!

Hey thanks for the compliment Harold!!

I tightened them up again after the pics, it seems one side of the strap likes to get real tight and the other stays a bit loose. Probably have to do it again, they are hard little buggers to keep tight and fasten while trying to hold the suspension just right before full droop. Even now it appears they are not tight just because the wire is pretty beefy but they are.

I appreciate you checking out the pics and pointing things out, it helps me notice things sometimes I might have overlooked! Just now sitting here I had a brain fart, I have a small RC Jack I could use to get the suspension at just the right spot before I fasten the limiter holder on the shock tower......DOH.....

Maxx trucks got me started in r/c, I will always love them. I try to choose a color theme for my builds too, but with off the shelf parts. You've taken it to a whole new level.

Thanks for sharing the pics and taking the time to post a thread. R/C sure is a fun hobby. I'll be watching

In Pennsylvania Dutch country they call that a HEX, or a curse when someone from the underworld tells you they are going to keep an eye on you. Watch out Joe. Harold may be an evil spirit.

Got a little bit done tonight. Have not had a chance to sit down in probably a week and a half at the hobby table so it was good to get a little progress done.

Pics!.....Enjoy.....

Just a great job Joe. Love the way this truck looks. Another UE work of art, but a one of a kind project.
