anyone have experience with rc heli's?

im either going with the msr or the tandem rescue looks cool cus its different looking.

after looking at these heli's. i decided id buy one for my girlfriends son for christmas.
i didnt realize there were soooo many brands out there. when i looked on ebay and amazon. tons of them came up.

i cant seem to see what the difference are with all these. i mean if it has a gyro, then arent they all the same now? i mean do they fly faster, or batteries last longer, or what is it?

any suggestions on a cheaper one...say $50 max.
