New MMMXL owner, having problems with programing? - 02.23.2012, 06:42 PM

Hey Guys,

I took delivery of my MMMXL today to go into my BL Baja, and when i went to program it i hit a snag, i pluged my feild link into the usb port on the computer and hit an error, "driver was not sucessfully installed" or something...

so i uninstalled it, restarted and retried the connection... still not working...

when going into device manager i get "the device cannot start (code 10)" which relates to an outdated or corrupted driver, is their anyway i can directly download this driver?

When its plugged in the light at the top is solid (showing linked) and when you plug it into the esc it flashes (showing connected) but nothing shows on the castle link...

any ideas guys? could really do with some help as i'm itching to go out and have a blast with this big bad boy :D

Thanks,

Joe

Hey Joe,

Quickest way to get this resolved would be to call our tech support guys -- they are masterful at resolving install / driver issues for the Link.

Thanx!

sadly i'm in the uk with no access to a landline, and the bill would be huge calling from a mobile phone! :(

its a shame, cause i sold my castle link a few weeks ago and replaced it with the field link :P thinking they work the same :(

its probably just me/my computer, i will try it out on another machine

One thing to try is to remove the software from your PC, and then reinstall using "Run as Administrator."

Sometimes the database won't install correctly unless installed by an administrator.

Thanx!

the software appears to work fine, it just the castle field link comunicating with my computer thats the problem... unless that has something to do with the database?

as of yet, no luck with anything i have tried, so i will give it a shot anyway :)

Thanks for the help, the breif blip of the throttle (to make sure no flames on first run ;)) and this thing has BAGS of power :D

Odd -- Field link and Castle Link look like the same device to the computer - - they both use the same USB codes and chip. So if one works, so should the other...

Thanx!
