Most of the really high power chargers do need the full 24v to get their max power out. Actually, they are usually current-limited at their input, typically to ~30-40A. So, to get the max output, you need 24v.

So how high do you think I'll be able to go with that power supply? What will happen if I try to charge at 30 amps? Does the charger shutdown, does something overheat and blow a fuse? Would rather find out from you then be surprised by what happens
