I am using a Garmin forerunner 201 here, works perfect, and is pretty cheap to get.

I also have a forerunner. 201 or 301. pick them up cheap off ebay.

I got the Oregon Scientific GP108 as mentioned above.

I got it for $40 from Amazon by getting $10 off for getting a 1 month free trial of Amazon Prime (sweet) and free 2 day shipping (sweeter) with the Prime membership.
