12 Gauge wire or 10 Gauge wire? - 04.11.2006, 11:31 AM

I am working on my brushless jammin crt wiring it up I am wondering if I should use 10 gauge wire instead of the 12 gauge I normally use, since this is a big motor (2240) high voltage truck (8s lipo)? also will 10 gauge wire fit in the 3.5 mm connectors my MGM and Lehner uses?

Good question,i was just going to use 12g when my MGM gets here (tomorrow hopefully),i think it'll fit the 3.5mm connectors easier.Hopefully the current won't be sky high with all that voltage.
10g would be more ideal though.

I will probably use 12 because I have it around, but I dont want to be cheap on wire after spending so much on lipos and motor. Are you getting the 16024 from MGM? I cant wait to see how it performs

Yeah,24 cell, after i let some smoke out of my 36120.after reading the instructions online i decided it's not too tricky to program,i like the programming features.Anyway the only other controller is that schulze and it's about the size of a small country and not splash proof.I've been tracking it,it left customs yesterday so i should have it tomorrow morning.

OH sorry to hear about your 36120 was that the issue with the motor jumping and cutting out at lower rpm? The mgm looks nice it is small and packaged well. I am still waiting for my 2240 to get my truck running, all the waiting is driving me nuts. Please post how the MGM works out, I have my fingers crossed.

12ga. should be fine. It can handle at least as much as the 3.5mm connectors.
