running 20 cells on your 9920 is the max # of cells allowed on your controller.....it can be done...but you run the risk of possibly messing up the controller.....besides running (2) 10 cell packs is alot of weight on a emaxx.

20 cells would be 24 volts. I was thinking about running 2 11.1v lipo packs so that would be 22.2v. Would that be running a risk also?

I was running 20 gp2200s on a 9920 for a little while and it didn't get too hot,130F after 10 mins without a fan and no ventilation in the body, but i doubt they hold as much voltage under load as good subCs but they're alot smaller and lighter(4/5th subCs).Also it was a 1300kv motor so little milder on 20 cells.

I wouldn't hesitate to run it on 20 cells personally but put a fan on the controller, that's what i would do with a 10xl,it'll bring that motor to life for sure.

heat isn't really the issue with the controllers.......you can allways keep it cool with a fan and good ventilation.....the issue is the voltage spike and or amps that can suddenly go to the controller from the batts.....and it will fry it......like the post I posted earlier...I fried mine on just 12 cells with a amp spike of 123 amps on a 1895 controller......
