On a scale from one to 10, i would give your first design a 10 and the second design an 7.5..

I am just a sucker for these solid savage a-arms... And the loss of the option placing a brake servo..

If you know what my savage has been thru and what kind of crashes he survived, i am sure, that a HB lighting suspension snapped in pieces and the upper arms (loooooooooong steel turnbuckles) would bent..

Did you do a redesign on the aluminum part on the front-front of the diff, that holds the hingepins for the lower a-arms? That is one weak link on the HB truck.
