Guys, here's my backyard 18th scale track!
Still not quite finished, it will get tubes all around.
Hope you like it:

Birds Eye View, from my balcony:

As far as RC goes, driving on this track is one of the coolest things I ever did, it's invinite fun.
Everybody who is in my area is welcome to spend an afternoon there! Visit Switzerland!

I'll be right over! Great track Daff, just make sure you don't use up all your sick days at work.:005: I see you have the flood light out there for night driving as well.

Great looking track Dafni. I just loaded a Mamba Comp X Brushless kit into my Duratrax Vendetta. To bad it's so far away from Chicago it would be a great test track.

Thank you boys! Yeah, I realize it is far away for most of you, but who knows? We never know where life leads us.

sjcrss, nice to hear about your offspring! I have 2 myself. And yeah, I rent too... the landlord hasn't even seen this... let's see how he'll react. I can still tear it down when I leave.

Cool track! Maybe it's time to get a passport...

I don't know how Swiss landlords deal with their tenants, but that would be a definite no-no over here!

As a matter of fact, there are some places that won't let you do things like that even if you own the land and house (zoning)!

I know, Brian, here too, sometimes. By local standards we are considered hippies anyway, so i have no reputation to loose :) If somebody complains, I tell them to be glad that I don't like nitro :005:

Years and years of skateboarding, thus dealing with authorities and complaining citizens, gave me some experience on how to deal with situations like this. I just do my thing (mind you, only as far as nobody else gets harmed, I'm a peacefull man) and when somebody else has something against what I did, we try to find a solution. What you do has to be bearable for every one, but on the other hand, if nobody tries something different, there wont be no change at all. WHo knows, maybe one day the landlord will race with me?

I will keep you updated on how it turns out. There is a Pizzeria next to my track, and this last weekend we drove until 1am, attracting quite some attention... so I guess the gossip already got around. Let's see.

That ramp in the fourth picture is a shortcut to avoid the turn isn't it? Very nice track. Wish i had dirt like that around here, all i got is sand, great for rooster tails, not for traction

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Very nice Dafni! I wonder if my landlord in my apt building would let me do that in the yard out there? He is so picky about it, makes me want to just go out there at two in the morning and start digging!

Thank you. Yes, the big kicker can be used as a shortcut, but I like the turns as well. Kicker and turns both lead into this wide rollercoaster turn, wich allows for some impressive speed. If you exit it straight, you can clear the triple no problem.
When you take the turns instead of the kicker, you go over this hump and dive into the rollercoaster.... ah, such pleasure... I think I call in sick tomorrow :)
