yes a pair of 2-3s packs is what i meant. do the quarks have a problem with overheating due to no heatsinks, or at least none that i can see. I live in Fl and it's ungodly hot and humid here, something that doesn't bode well for cooling electronics.

well i have my quark resting in an aluminum holder/mount with 2 extra heatsinks on the sides and i have yet to over heat it or get it above 135. usually it runs only warm........

you could also put a fan on it and gear on the conservative side.............
