Thanks for all the advice. Sounds like the 8xl or 9xl would work well with the MM controller. I can get a great price on a like new 9L from a friend (I don't think it was ever used) so I was considering that. I also have receiver packs to use but could buy a UBEC if needed.

Honestly, I was reasonably satisfied with the power that the EVX/Titans provided so improving the power...say for example doubling the stock power output is probably enough. (Some of you will say you can't have too much power and maybe you're right) The hard part is figuring out how to bump up the power and still keep the smooth driveability and reliability of the EVX.
