Both the CF and aluminum chassis are good, but they're not up for hard bashing.
CF is stiffer than aluminum, but not as forgiving as aluminum. If you are planning on getting a Gorilla chassis for bashing, make sure that the aluminum is your choice.
And no, the CF version do not have the GorillaMaxx trademark ingraved on it.

I only prefer CF over aluminum when racing. Otherwise, go aluminum.

The Flextek suspension systems are quite good and reasonably priced and as far as I've heard, all of those who have them really liked them.

Brushless motors do not perform well with stick packs- speed will be very poor. You should use batteries with thick metal bars which stand high apm draw.

The higher the number in any motor like XL9-XL12 means more torque and less speed. So, 9 turns is faster than 12 turns, but less torquey.
