Probably not if you truck is nice and low then its not going to matter on a loose track. A smaller tire is easier to manuever with. If a crash happens in front of you, you can sneak by easier with smaller tires because they won't catch on any of the trucks, but a truck with 40 series is probably more stable than a standard rim truck. If you want to get the full potential of 40 series get a better servo than the stock 2055. The more contact area makes it harder on the servo. 40 series tires/rims are going to weigh more than crime fighters on sport maxx rims.
