When you feel the MM, can you hold you finger(s) on it for 3-5sec.? If so, the MM heatsink is most likely around 110-130 deg., which is fine. If it burns your finger when touching the heatsink for less than a second, then it may be time to invest in a temp. gauge (or use one if you already have one). The MM will thermal at 200-220 deg., and if it isn't thermalling then you might not need a fan.
