Whoa, that is huge! Now i understand why it dissapates some of the heat:p


The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

I've got that head on my T-Maxx also. I did some before and after temp readings on it and it did make a difference. (although it was too long ago and I don't remember the #s).
I also have never had any tuning issues with my 2.5 in the gallon and a half of 33% that I have run through it since I've had it.

Thats good to know, because i will by sometime have a nitro, thanks for all the help.

also, if you want it to run cool and long. DONT USE TRAXXAS TOP FUEL! it gums up the engine case and doesnt burn clean. i run trinity 30% and it looks as good as it does then i rebuilt it. guess why i had to rebuild it....

Thats odd, why would traxxas fuel be bad for traxxas motors? That is very stupid, Why did you rebuild it? Lemme geuss the traxxas fuel messed it up?:p

That's all that's ever been run in mine. Never had any issues. Temps are fine too. Maybe I don't run it hard enough.;)

well the traxxas fuel doesnt burn to clean. it gummed my engine up which in turn trapped moisture and it got a little rusted on the sleeve. which made it loose compression. i only ran a gallon of it through there. when it started to act up. then at about a gallon ahd a half i had to rebuild it. when i pulled the head off the piston looked almost dirty (not really dirty but like it wasnt burning clean). now after a gallon of 30% trinity it looks like its brand new.

I geuss ill have to try that trinity 30% nitro, i wanna get it right the first time not having problems all the time, thanks, squee.

There is absolutly nothing wrong with traxxas fuel. Roy from rd racing products & (countless others) uses 33% and he won the NW divison of the RC PROSERIES, & finished 4th at the finals in sun valley. If your still having to tune your motor alot from tank to tank, you might have a air leak around the carb, or back plate, or around your needles. There is a product called AIR SEAL made by racer's choice, it's a liquid that you put on the places i mentioned it helps seal up the motor. This helps the motor hold a better tune. How many galloins do you have on this motor ?.. Maybe you need to have the sleeve pinched. Also temp guns are only a referance point the traxxas rep told me to tune for performance not temps. You want a nice trail of blue smoke, if it rundds good & you have blue smoke he said thas good.

If you go on the sgrid.com you can talk to all the PRO drivers. Steve slayden. Roy from rd racing, DAlE MOWERY from dace mfg & plenty others PRO drivers They will give you the best info.

The LHS is going to tell you the best fuel to run is the fuel they sell. So go the sgrid like i suggested there is a thread on this topic. You will get all your ? answerd ther from the fastet people is the business.

No problem They have induvidual threads for each viechile. Traxxas , kyyosho, mugen & so on.

CaN SOMEONE PLEASE POST A LINK TO THE SGRID I DONT KNOW HOW THANK'S.
