Can't you heat up the aluminum on a stove? (keep the bearing out first) oldest trick in the book..

Sorry, people. I did not mean to hurt you, Sneeck. I did not even know that you've replied to my last post. It was not directed to you, really, but to the point that I can send it to FLM and get a new replacement is a bit rediculous, since the distance between me and America is pretty looooooooong. Sorry, again.

Serum, I took a deep look at the hole of the bearing and I can tell from what I see is that when you make the front hole of the hybrid faces you, the left half is quite smaller than the right half. I guess that its a factory defect. Now I really need a replacement unless I can trim it, but it seems pretty difficult to be done.

Al the ingredients are there to make a nice truck! (ark in your case...)

That bearing thing; what happens if you press them together hard Captain?

Isn't there a small part inside from the machining? it does look like only the corners are a bit too tight..

You don't want a wobble bearing. Then the shaft comes wobble. A wobble pinion shaft is not good.

No hard feeling's Captain. But when a part doesn't fit like it's supposed to, there is no other option then to send it back for a replacement.

Did you try to warm the caseing up useing a hair dryer?(not heating the bearing)

As I said earlier, the left case of the hybrid is not exactly the same as the right case. When I screw the two cases together, the pinion's bearing hardly moves. It seems as if its being under severe pressure ( the left case is pressing the cage of the bearings and the balls are hardly rolling). I really dont want to wait for another 10 days befor I could see a lovely truck in front of me. This is not my dream truck, yet, but its only the beginnig.

If any of you has something else besides the heating method..... Would a high grade sand paper do the trick? once again, please, squeez your minds and bring some ideas to solve the problem of a striving captain.

Could try a dremel. But be sure to not take off to much material.
