I hear what you are saying, Oahu is like the L.A. of Hawaii...lol. If you do happen to make it back to our little rock formation in the middle of the Pacific, I would look to Kauai. Kauai is the garden isle, so I think this may be more to your liking.....lots of scenery. You can check out some of the stuff they have here:
