Do not get the 540 6s or the 1920 5t or 6t. They may be faster after 500 feet of straight, but they will feel very under powered compared to the novak 4.5 or the feigao 380 6t.

I think a 5300 would be more than fast enough.

I put one in a Tamiya Mini (yes, the FWD one). Even going insanely fast i can get wheelspin.

Vid 2:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...69550085159541

Geared as high as i can get - on the first pass on the first vid i go from half to full throttle just past the camera - you can hear it keeps accelerating for as far as i have room ;)

I cant imagine what this would be like with the reduced weight of LiPo.

Guess there's only one way to find out...

Currently, judging by how far it moves from frame to frame i estimate about 45mph.

Even this would really get your Pro 4 flying

Yes, but it's a bit hot for 3S

It will work, but it'll get very toasty. Would be perfect on 2S, however

hmm....what about the 3100 that would be pretty nice and it says it's designed for higher voltage

That would be excellent on 3S!

It would also be nice and mild on 2S too.

If you are going to be mainly running 3S, go with that.

If you're mainly going to be using 2S, then go with the 4200 (that way you can still do insane speed runs without things getting too hot)

Keep in mind that in the vid i was using six cheap, unmatched GP3300s.

On lipo you would have more current and more voltage - but if you are planning to run a mixture of 2S and 3S then the 4200 (or whatever it is) would be a good choice

There's always the Feigao option - the 6S is a very fast motor indeed - not as much low speed power as the 5300 but it really pulls at higher speeds. Just gear it quite low.

If you bought something like an 8 or 9S you could run both 2 and 3s lipo, save a bit of money and still have nitro-killing performance ;)

well i have a reedy neo 9 turn in here now and it kills on matched 3700's but i was thinking of getting the 1920 but i hear it's only top end i want more than just top end i want all around...i am thinking of getting the 3100 cause i'll mostly run 3s lipo's and they're 8000 mah capicity

I think you've made the right choice :)

You could consider the Basic 4x00 - and gear low so that it runs a bit cooler?

The 5300 is capable of absolutely savage acceleration - i normally use it in my T3 but thats waiting on new diff balls atm...

The 3100 would only accelerate faster, and on 3S you could gear quite high to give you truly insane topend as well

I strongly oppose putting the 540 6s in a touring car. I had that motor and acceleration is pretty poor in light vehicles such as my xxx4. Worse than my ss5800. Not that it's slow. It just takes a long time to get to top speed. It feels as if the car is carrying an extra brick. I know I'm exaggerating a bit, but you would immediately notice the lack of punch. For 2s lipo, you're much better off with a 380c 6t, which will will smoke the lehner 5300 any day in a touring car.
